Healing Modalities:

Deep Tissue - A massage technique that focuses on deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons, and fascia.

Swedish – A relaxation massage to increase oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Sports - An appropriate massage typically for pre-event, during, and post-event of athletic events. The purpose is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injury.

Reflexology - A gentle form of therapeutic treatment applied to the feet and sometimes to the hand. It is believed that applying pressure to specific areas on the feet, hands and ears can affect internal organs and body systems and therefore promote good health.

Prenatal - Shares many of the goals of regular massage – to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. It’s also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies. The mother-to-be will be in a side-lying position surrounded by the comfort of pillows to ease any tension of the belly, neck, hips, and back.

Trigger Point – A technique that uses compression and passive stretching to help improve range of motion, rehabilitate breathing patterns, decrease pain level, and other measures of improved function.
