Julie Swalstad, CMT
Julie grew up in Shelly and East Grand Forks, Minnesota. She has been interested in massage since 1995 and decided to move to the Twin Cities to further her career. Julie is a 2010 graduate of Rasmussen College with a Massage Therapy degree. She has experience in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Prenatal, Infant, Myofascial Release, Sports, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Trigger Point, Hot Stone, Salt Scrub and Chair massage. In her spare time, Julie enjoys motorcycling, scrapbooking, camping, and spending time with her family, friends, her Yellow Lab and 2 cats.
Julie’s goals are to provide relaxation, relieve tension associated with the daily stresses of your busy life, or simply to help maintain good health and achieve a balanced lifestyle.

Healing Modalities:
Deep Tissue - Focuses on deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons, and fascia.
Relaxation - Relaxes the body and promotes wellness. Relaxation massage has the intention of moving body fluids (such as lymph and blood), nourishing cells, and removing wastes from cells, relaxing muscles and diminishing any pain.
Reflexology - Treatment that involves applying pressure and massage techniques to parts of the body (most often the feet and sometimes the hands). Not only does this type of therapy relieve stress, it also helps to boost circulation and improve body functions.
Hot Stone Massage - Delivers great results and relaxes the deeper layers of your muscle tissue. The flow of healing nutrients is restored, aiding in the release of tense, tight-knotted muscle tissue resulting in decreased pain.
Salt Massage- Exfoliating treatment with the use of Dead Sea salts and hot towels. It whisks away dead skin cells, which encourages new skin-cell growth, stimulates circulation & leaves skin smooth with a healthy glow.
