Bio:
Keri has been studying yoga since 1999 and began teaching in 2003, when she opened her own Yoga Business, Trinity Yoga. Once immersed in the Yoga world, she became intrigued with its sister-science, Ayurveda, and pursued additional studies in that for her own health and well-being.. As she began to benefit, she wanted to share this wonderful philosophy with others, so she began studying in depth. As of 2011, she has received 600 hours of certification in Ayurvedic Health Counseling through the American Institute of Vedic Studies. In addition, she is in her last year of school at Kanyakamari Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Center in Milwaukee, WI, to become a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner (CAP).
Her work in Ayurveda is based on knowledge, intuition and trust, as she works with clients to gently uncover their true Constitution (Prakriti). Understanding one’s true Prakriti helps us not only seek a lifestyle and diet that are more in harmony with our nature, but additionally helps one uncover their true Divine mission or purpose in life. She utilizes both the Ayurvedic wisdom and the Yoga philosophy, including chanting, meditation, pranayama, asana (postures), relaxation and more to naturally and gently re-harmonize the individual, the natural result being a more joyful, balanced and conscious approach to life.

Yoga - Divers Program Yoga Study Opportunity
Healing Modality:
Ayurveda ("Ayur" = life, "Veda" - science/study) is an ancient, rich, organic science of healing and well-being. It is the oldest system of medicine and as such proved itself as no other system of medicine has. Developed side-by-side with Yoga, it is the ultimate Self-Healing and Self-Realization partnership.
The Ayurvedic approach to wellness takes into account the whole person; body, mind, and soul. It is believed that only when we address the whole person can real, lasting healing take place. Ayurveda is an energetic, holistic and comprehensive health and wellness system that uses natural, everyday remedies. Through Ayurveda, we create a lifestyle for ourselves that supports us holistically and for our entire lifetime.
AYURVEDA’S KEY POINTS
- Ayurveda recognizes the Spirit or Soul as the ultimate wellspring of healing, joy and peace and guides us back to it.
- Ayurveda works with Body, Mind and Spirit, seeing the three as completely inseparable, for a full person, comprehensive health program.
- Ayurveda is a joyful, lifelong way to live in harmony with our bodies and our world.
- Ayurveda is a person-by-person system of healing, not one-size-fits-all.
- Ayurveda is not a quick fix or short-term solution but a way of life.
- Ayurveda is a qualitative system, meaning that it does not require counting calories, points, or anything else. Just follow the qualities, the rest will come!
- Ayurveda does not wait until disease sets in, but works in a pro-active, preventative way.
An Ayurvedic consultation with Keri begins with a general evaluation of your unique constitution for the body and mind. You will learn what your constitution (dosha) means for you and your lifestyle choices. You will gain an understanding of what choices support your constitution and provide balance and which ones take us away from balance and toward disease. Then you will examine simple, natural ways in which you can slowly and joyfully bring yourself back to balance, and from there, continue to see increases in both the health of the body and clarity in the mind. You may receive dosha-specific guidance in any/all of the following:
- Dietary suggestions, including the right use of herbs and spices
- Breathing techniques
- Visualizations, Meditations and Affirmations
- Sensory input including music, scents, and general surroundings
- Exercise
- Yoga Postures and Relaxation
